torchwood100Summary: Jack and Gwen don't mind breaking a few rules. A double drabble.
‘Right at the next street!’ Jack announced, grabbing the side door handle as Gwen flipped the steering wheel, causing the back end of the SUV to fishtail as it made the sharp turn into the narrow street with barely an inch to spare between the brick wall and the paintwork. Jack hooted with glee as she put the pedal to the metal, the SUV surging after their quarry in a clunk white minivan that was eventually not going to be able to match the SUV for sheer speed. Jack had no fear that the aliens would get away.
‘Someone’s having fun,’ Gwen said, grinning whilst maintaining their high speed chase, clearly enjoying the adrenaline rush as much as she was.
‘I only wish Ianto was here,’ Jack replied.
‘I don’t think he’d be doing much chasing with a busted ankle,’ she replied. Poor lamb was probably glad of the respite, enjoying being tucked up at the hub with his coffee and paperwork. ‘Are you worried he’s missing out on all the fun?’
Jack smiled as she twirled the car around another tight corner. ‘Nope. I just wish I could've seen his face when you turned illegally down that one-way street!’
