Summary: Owen doesn't like being proven wrong. A double drabble.
‘I told you we should have checked in the downstairs closet,’ Ianto said, running down the street, now in pursuit of a large mammoth shaped creature that was frightened out of its mind but causing untold havoc as it pinballed between the houses along the narrow street.
Guh. The sound came out of Owen in exactly the tone it was intended. It was literally the only place in that house we didn't check. ‘Not sure if you noticed but it was never going to fit in there if it was looking for a hiding place.’
‘Unless of course the house had been previously exposed to alien technology, causing a small pocket universe to exist in their cupboard. A whole herd of them could have been in there and you’d have just walked right by it. Leave no stone unturned. That’s our motto.’
‘I thought it was “don’t mess with the rift.”
‘That too. Not that you took much notice of either one.’
Owen groaned and rolled his eyes. ‘Why do you always have to be right?’
Ianto’s brow furrowed as he looked back at Owen. ‘I don’t always have to be right. I just happen to be right.’
‘Same difference.’
