Summary: Jack knows for sure that he doesn't need John in his life anymore. A triple drabble.
‘In the car,’ Jack said, using his webley to point at the passenger side door, making it a command and not a suggestion.
John Hart curved an eyebrow at him. ‘Not the backseat for us?’ He gave a noncommittal shrug. ‘I suppose having a spare joystick in the mix can’t hurt.’
‘It's so I can keep my eye on you,’ Jack replied, trying to keep his voice level. ‘Not going to risk you coming at me from behind.’
‘Never complained about it in the past, but I get it, you just want to be able to admire me.’
Jack snorted. ‘I was over you a long time ago.’
John barked out a laugh. ‘That kiss twenty minutes ago says otherwise. Face it, life just isn’t the same without me.’
It was Jack's turn to grin and laugh. ‘Oh, trust me, you’re right on that. A century later and I still don't regret being left to rot on that satellite in Demesne Six.’
‘Believe me, I had no idea that the warp engine on that ship had been sabotaged.’
‘Says the saboteur in question.’
John’s expression softened. ‘You know I do regret leaving you there,’ he confessed. ‘Life was never the same without you.’
‘You mean you needed someone new to sleep with and double cross on a regular basis?’
John clutched at his grubby lapel. ‘Jack, you wound me!’
‘Not in the way that I'd really like to,’ came the reply. ‘I learned my lesson with you. Now, are you getting in the car or do I have to cuff you and throw you in the boot?’
John raised his hands in surrender. ‘Okay! I get it. There’s someone new and you aren’t interested in rekindling what we had. But can I ask, would they be up for a threeesome?’
