Summary: Ianto isn't happy about being left waiting. A double drabble.
Ianto checked his watch for the millionth time and heaved a sigh. Typical bloody Jack.He growled again and gave up waiting. He had things to do today, heading for the archives, where a pile of work was waiting for him. He nearly bungled right into Jack who was suddenly there on the other side of the door, coming the other way.
‘Hey, where are you going?’
‘Back to work.’
‘I thought we had a coffee date?’
‘We did. Then you got a message on your phone, flashed your smile at me and said “I'll be back in a flash.” Only you have a strange definition of flash, I didn't know it meant coming back an hour later.’
‘Sorry.’ Jack shrugged it off as if he hadn't left Ianto just standing there feeling stupid for all that time. ‘You know how it is.’
‘Don’t I just?’
‘We'll I’m back now, so we can still go for coffee.’
‘Doesn't matter,’ Ianto replied. ‘My favourite cherry bakewell will have sold out by now.’ He pouted, thinking about how good it would have tasted, all sweet and tart.
‘Well, I'll just have to make it up to you tomorrow with two cherry bakewells.’
