'Well, I'm glad that's done with,' Jack said, dusting his hands off.
'At least we know Tosh's anti-seismetric wave generator works,' Ianto agreed.
Jack turned to face their third companion. 'What do you day, Archie? Glad to have the place back to boringm, mindless peace and quiet?'
Archie pumped Jack's hand hard. 'I canna thank ye two enough. That sound has been driving me crazy.'
'I can imagine,' Ianto said. He and Jack had only been here an hour and already he had a headache from the noise. Poor Archie had been putting up with it for days.
'All's well that ends well,' Jack added. 'Come on, Ianto.'
'Going already?' Archie asked. 'Ye only just got here. I've got the clubs in the back of the car. Weather on the loch is perfect for a few holes.'
Ianto saw Jack cringe. He hated golf.
'Maybe another time,' Ianto replied. 'Golf really isn't our thing.'
Archie fixed Jack with an uncharacteristically dour expression. 'Laddie, are you telling me that after all these years, ye don't actually like golf?'
Jack cowed. 'Maybe?'
'Ock! Well why didn't ye say so? I only designed the course because I thought you were a golf fan.'
