Life's hard when your other half works for Torchwood. It's not so much the late nights, or the early mornings, and the lack of sleep in between; those you get used to. It's not the horrendous amount of laundry that piles up, or the much loved clothes having to be thrown out on a regular basis. It's not even having to watch them on the news as they battle the rain of fire, or zombies in the streets.

No, it's that moment when all goes quiet, and the mind dreams up all kinds of terrible things that could be happening.
