Summary: Not everyone is happy with Owen's methods for killing time. A double drabble.

'This is boring,' Owen complained. 'I hate the outdoors.'

'They said they'd meet us here,' Jack replied, lifting his face up to the sunshine. 'They just weren't particularly good at mentioning exactly when.'

When the distress call had come through, it just made sense to suggest they land out here. The hundred acres of Welsh countryside Ianto had inherited from a distant, and very crazy, relative had been perfect to provide refuge to aliens in need. They hadn't had time to fix the place up properly yet, but even so, it had come in handy more than once. Jack already loved it out here, so tranquil and picturesque.

Owen picked up a handful of pebbles and began throwing them, trying to get them to skip across the surface of the small lake at the bottom of the valley. The first couple bounced nicely, but as his boredom grew, most of them nosedived straight in.

'I wouldn't do that if I were you,' Jack warned.

'Why the hell not? Nothing else to do.'

Something whacked Owen hard in the back of the head. 'Ow!'

'That's why. Gaspinxa living in the lake. She won't take kindly to having pebbles thrown at her.'
