She couldn't believe how calm she felt as the man sat down on the bench next to her, offering her a charming smile and a bottle of water, both which she accepted gratefully. It seemed strange that they could sit here so peacefully after everything that had happened tonight. The rumours were true. There really were monsters roaming the city. But still one question remained.

'Who are you?' she said, watching his face for any traces of deception. She'd met handsome men like him before who'd lied to her.

'Just your average Joe,' he replied, watching her eyelids droop shut.
