There was definitely no confusion it was meant as a compliment, so thank you. My response was a facetious one. ;) I know what you mean though, getting inside her head is hard. Distilling it down to what's really going on is the challenge and often easier to grab hold of when she's not having to compete with other characters. One of the good things about Miracle Day was that most of the other characters were were stripped away so she got a chance to be her own character (if that makes sense). I only got into the Fandom in late 2011 so you'll have to forgive me for producing more Jack/Ianto fic. I haven't exhausted that yet, and writing it is less tiresome perhaps that reading it. It's an easy mindset to slip into when I'm short on time or energy. I'd like to have more time to put each of them in adventures where they're on their own and allowed to do their own thing (rather like the audioplays, which I was skeptical about at first since they would only feature one main character at a time, but they're actually quite good).
