DI Margot Davies scowled as the black car pulled up just feet from her crime scene.

The man in the grey coat marched straight toward her. 'We'll take it from here,' he announced.

'No you bloody won't,' she replied. 'This is my scene. I say who comes and who goes.'

'And I say go home, Detective. It's not safe,' he replied, lifting the tape and heading inside.

'I'm a police officer!' she yelled back. 'Not some little woman you can push around!'

'Don't worry,' his companion replied. 'He's an equal opportunity offender. You did well to stop him that long.'
