Summary: Arya has a better idea for where they should make camp. A double drabble.
'We'll stop here for the night,' Clegane announced, pulling up his tatty stallion beside a gnarled oak towering in the lea of the valley.
Arya pulled a face. 'What, here?' she asked, scowling and looking around. One tree and no running water was not a camp. It wasn't even a good spot to lay down and die. 'There's nothing here, or are you blind as well as stupid now?' Three weeks ago that might have earned her a slap, but now the Hound didn't even so much as grunt.
'Sorry, I keep forgetting,' Clegane began. 'Harrenhal is just over those hills. Let's keep going and see if a night with Vargo Hoat would suit you better,' he sniped.
'Even I know Harrenhal is back the other way,' Arya replied. Several days ride in fact. But they had to be only just south of the Red Fork. She scoured the horizon before pointing. 'Over there. There's a tiny wisp of smoke. Must be a small farmhouse of some kind.'
'And you think they'll just offer us shelter and a pot of rabbit stew, do you?'
'Of course not. But you're ugly and scary enough that they might let us stay regardless.'
