Summary: Danaerys has known passionate love, but not the romantic kind. A double drabble.

When she'd been younger, living in Braavos at the house with the red door, Danaerys devoured the books that lined the walls of the library. There were stories of pirates from Lys,  princes from the Summer Isles, fair maidens and exciting adventures. In all the stories, the maidens were swept off their feet by their dashing heroes and lived happily ever after.

The stories were romantic and engrossing, but so far in her life they'd proven to be just that, stories. There was no romance to be had in the world that she'd experienced. From Khal Drogo to Daario Naharis, there'd been fire and passion, but nothing like what she'd read in her books.

Only now, as she stood face to face with Jon Snow, behind the closed door of her quarters aboard the ship, did she feel something different and new. There was something in the way he looked at her that made her heart beat faster. She felt the swell of emotions rising up side her. Jon was patient and measured to her obstinacy and compulsion. He didn't take what he wanted like other men, but rather waited for her to offer it to him.

So she did.
