Johnson sat quietly in the car beside Jack, watching the house and the intense look of concentration Jack was giving the task. 'Can I ask you something?'

Jack's gaze broke away. 'That depends,' he answered cautiously.

'When I worked for military intelligence, I did my homework on you. You can't die. I know that. They also say you've been working for Torchwood for decades, yet you never age a day.'

'Is there a question in there somewhere?'

'If it's all true, then exactly how old are you?'

Jack gave a coy smile. 'Sounds like you've got more homework to do.'
