Notes: Ianto is having seconds thoughts about letting Hywel out for his first proper flight. A double drabble.

'I'm not sure this is a good idea,' Ianto said, feeling the wind tug at his scarf. He probably should have checked the forecast before opening his big mouth.

'Why not?' Jack asked. 'This was your idea.'

'I know, but... isn't it a little windy?'

'A stiff breeze, that's all,' Jack replied. 'Besides, Hywel has gotta learn to fly out in the elements. A pterodactyl can't spend all of its time indoors,' Jack lectured. 'You know just how much Myf tears up the place when she's stuck inside and bored. Just imagine what kind of trouble Hywel might get up to. He's smaller and able to get in a lot more places than Myf.'

Ianto nodded. That was true, and Myf was reasonably well trained. But it was also true that so far, all of Hywel's flying adventures had been in the relative safety of the hub where there was no wind and no rain. Tonight didn't seem the best night to test his resilience. 'Are you sure?'

'Ianto, sometimes I think you're a bigger parent than Myf. Stop fussing. Kids all have to leave the nest eventually.'

'If anything happens to him...' Ianto warned.

'It won't. He'll be fine.'
