Notes: Jack's old digs could do with a facelift.

'I can't believe you used to live here,' Gwen remarked, taking in the sight of the apartment. It looked like it had gotten stuck in a bubble of time - the seventies to be precise.  

The floors were green linoleum, the formica benchtops orange, and everything else was covered in fake wood laminate. The chintz couches and fringed lamps made it feel seedy rather than homely.

Gwen fingered the heavy drapes, her fingers coming back covered in dust. 'I didn't pick you as the lace curtains type.'

Jack scowled. 'Hey, I picked those out myself! They were the height of fashion.'

Thankfully, fashions change, but having been around throughout the seventies I remember a lot of this stuff.
