Jack clenched his teeth as the nighttime streets flew by. 'You went over there and wound up a guy with a history of mental instability. I mean, what were you thinking, Owen?'

Owen gripped the wheel hard. 'Ed Morgan's a bad egg who got what was coming. He ought to feel bloody guilty.'

'We're not some common law enforcement team. That is not our job.' Jack sighed. 'And now Ed Morgan is headed straight for Bernie's place to repay him for trying to extort money out of him. The next time you develop a sense of injustice, tell me first.'
