Summary: Tosh is just itching to get the goss on Ianto's big date night.

Tosh leaned her elbows on the desk, grinning conspiratorially at her teammate as he set down two mugs of coffee. It was early and no one else was in yet. Ianto would normally wait for the others but this morning Tosh was determined to get a full report on last night, and for that she was going to need coffee.

'So? How was it?'

Ianto gave the tiniest noncommittal shrug and eased into the chair next to her. 'It was fine.'

'Fine? Seriously that's all your going to give me? It was fine?'

'Okay, it was a little bit more than fine,' he said, trying not to break out into a full on smile.

Tosh slapped the desk with her hand. 'I knew it. So, go on. I want to hear every last detail.'

'Every last detail?' he queried, quirking an eyebrow at her.

'Okay, not every detail,' she confessed. What happened at the back end of the night was none of her business, but if she knew anything about Jack, it would have been very hot indeed. She didn't think she would be able to cope with a blow by blow recounting of that. Experiencing it first hand would have been something else altogether.

Ianto took a long sip of coffee, seemingly trying to compose himself before beginning. 'Well, Jack picked my up from mine at seven. He brought flowers.'

'Aw! That's so sweet.'

'He really shouldn't have. What am I going to do with them? Anyway, then we headed to the restaurant. He reserved a table at St David's, right by the window, bay views and all.'

'You didn't talk about work all night, did you?'

Ianto smirked. 'I thought that would have been obvious, but no. Somehow work just never really came into it. I can't even remember what we talked about.'

'Well, it must have been something for you not to remember,' Tosh observed. 'You remember everything.'

'I blame Jack's pheromones. They'll make anyone's head go all funny.'

Tosh reached across the desk. 'Well, I'm glad. You two deserve a nice night out. A proper date. It's not every day you meet your soul mate.'

'I wouldn't go that far, Tosh,' Ianto said, visibly squirming at the suggestion. 'I don't think Jack believes in that sort of thing. I'm not even sure I believe in that sort of thing. This... it's just, well... convenient.'

'Rubbish. I see the way you two look at each other. You might think we're all oblivious to it but we see what's going on.'

'No wonder Owen keeps wanting me to order more caustic soda. Must be for rinsing his eyes,' Ianto joked.

'Make a joke of it if you want,' Tosh said, 'but I'm telling you. Jack is one hundred percent head over heels for you. You balance him out, and he does the same for you. You compliment one another. Two halves of a whole. If that's not two people destined to be together, I don't know what is.'

Tosh is a wise lady, Ianto would do well to listen to her.
