Notes: Jack has never been so happy to see his team. A double drabble.

When Jack hauled himself out of the rubble, he expected to be faced with soldiers and guns, ready to punish and kill him again. When instead he saw Gwen, Ianto and Rhys, his stomach did somersaults.

It was such a relief to see them that he almost wanted to cry. Instead he felt an immense amount of pride. They'd survived the explosion at the hub, they'd rallied together, found him and were here to help him escape. How they'd done all of that with targets on their back and not a single one of the hub's infinite resources was astounding.

His mind was overbrimming with questions as to how they'd done it but for now there were more important things to worry about. This wasn't over, it was just beginning. Whatever it was that was coming would be here tomorrow, and their own pursuers wouldn't stop just for that. They needed to get away from here, find somewhere not to hole up, but to plan their next move.

There simply wasn't time for Jack to tell them how proud he was of them and how glad he was that they were all still alive. Their troubles were only just beginning.
