Title: Perfectly impefect
Author: m_findlow
Characters: Gwen, Rhys
Rating: PG
Challenge: 591 - Refuge at tw100
Notes: Messy and imperfect are just as good as neat and tidy. A double drabble.
'I’m home,' Gwen called out, reaching down to unzip her boots and tugging them off. She tugged off the socks as well and her feet relished the feel of the plush carpet underfoot. It felt like heaven. There wasn’t an inch of carpet in the hub, and that was probably a good thing, given how often the place got messed up. Ianto would go spare.
She stared down at the pile of mess she’d just made, boots and socks and her handbag and jacket, all just dumped on the floor. It matched in nicely with the permanent clutter of the rest of their flat. She didn’t care though. It was her home and she was allowed to have it messy. There had to be one place on earth where she could just let go and not worry about things - where aliens and danger became a distant memory, even if it was only short-lived.
Rhys appeared with a tea towel draped over his shoulder. 'World couldn’t be bothered ending tonight, is it? Should’ve known. Nothing on telly tonight. Aliens probably checked the guide and decided not to bother invading.'
Gwen wrapped her arms around him. 'Who needs telly when I’ve got you, eh?'
