Personally, I loathe sliced bread, all stodgy and spongy. There's nothing better than a freshly baked loaf you have to slice for yourself, one without all the additives you get in sliced bread.
However, I agree about the laptop (only type of computer I've ever had), Hoover (absolutely insispensible), and custard, (just because I've always loved it).
My best thing ever? Spectacles. I wouldn't be able to see without them!
