Summary: Jack is willing to donate for the cause but Ianto is less than impressed. A double drabble.
'We're going to have to find somewhere to house them,' Ianto said, looking out from the boardroom window down at the main level of the hub where Tosh was chatting with their latest refugees. 'I don't know where, though,' he added. 'All our safe houses are fully booked up.'
'All of them?' Jack asked, sounding surprised. Ianto nodded. When had that happened? Were there really that many aliens now calling Cardiff home?
Ianto sighed. 'I suppose they could stay with us. At least until I can find an estate agent willing to sell us something on the cheap.'
Jack paused and then reconsidered. 'Actually, there is somewhere...'
Ianto cast a disparaging eye over the place the moment Jack led him in through the door. 'You really own this and you've lived here?'
'Only every now and again.'
'Ah, your little days off,' Ianto surmised.
Jack shrugged. 'Gotta have somewhere to crash.'
'Well, it's ugly. And are those velvet curtains?' He fingered them with a horrified expression. 'God, it's like something straight out of the seventies.'
'Hey! You said you wanted something cheap. This comes free.'
'I said cheap, not tacky.' He sighed. 'I suppose aliens might not know the difference.'
