Summary: You can't fight against true love. A double drabble.

Jack checked himself over in the mirror's reflection. His upper lip was swollen and bleeding from the small cut running across it. Good right hook, he acknowledged, wishing he'd known that earlier. He didn't think the Welshman had it in him, but then Jack had been in enough Welsh pub brawls to know better than to underestimate an irate native.

It was hard to admit he probably deserved it. He'd gotten into plenty of fights but he hadn't seen this one coming. Ianto was blinded by love and nothing Jack said was going to change his mind. Lisa couldn't be saved. Cybermen didn't leave any shred of humanity to be salvaged. He had to learn that lesson for himself.

It was lucky the team had held Jack back. He wouldn't have stopped at one punch. He'd barely stopped himself when he'd held Ianto at gunpoint. With everything that was at stake, he was just itching for a fight, and it hadn't much mattered who put themselves in his line of fire.

That's one fight you wouldn't have won, Jack told himself, wincing as he fingered the results of just the first swing. Love always won out over every other reason.
