Summary: Something is very off about the new administration of G. R. Owen. A double drabble.
Jack could tell something wasn't right the moment he barged through the shabby office door.
Ianto sat in a worn plastic chair on one side, whilst the two extremely attractive administrators sat opposite him. Under normal circumstances, Jack would have wondered why four good looking people tucked in a tiny office space couldn't make the most of that privacy and proximity, but he knew straight away that they weren't interested in resurrecting a department store well past its best before date. Interviewing the employees was meant to uncover something more than why lemon yellow pullovers didn't sell.
He could feel the blonde woman snaking tendrils out toward him, whilst trying to simultaneously keep her mental claws latched into Ianto's mind. Jack could feel her trying to assess him, figure out if Jack was a threat or not, before turning her attention back to Ianto. Jack had been trained to put up defences against such incursions and he threw them up now, throwing her off the scent, but Ianto stood no chance.
Torchwood's presence here was about to be uncovered unless Jack did something to get them both out of there. Finding out who these people were would have to wait.
