Summary: Jack has a speedy proposition for Ianto.
Ianto was already pre-empting what Jack wanted before he'd even made it all the way to his desk and opened his mouth. 'No,' came the simple answer.
Jack gave a short, childish little huff. 'You don't even know what I was going to say. Or whether it was even a question at all. Can't I even just wander over to say hello?'
Ianto gave him a withering look, sparing him only the briefest attention before turning back to the files in front of him and displayed across three different computer screens.' I don't have to know what you were going to say. I can tell just by the fact that you're standing here at all.' And he did know exactly what Jack wanted. For all his very fine poker face skills he'd honed a century ago working as a conman, he was also ridiculously predictable. Ianto could set his watch by Jack's stomach and pretty much everything below it. 'The answer is still no.'
Jack leaned more desperately against the desk, reaching for Ianto's hands to try and pull him up and out of his chair. 'Oh, come on. It feels like days since we've spent any time together.'
Ianto rolled his eyes. Days since they'd had sex was what he meant. 'That would be because it actually has been days,' he replied. 'In case you hadn't noticed we've been a little bit busy?' He ended the statement with the upward inflection of a question, forcing Jack to accept that they'd been more than a little busy. Only now that all the usual crises had finally ended, could they get back to all the things that filled in their days when the world wasn't trying to end. 'I've got three weeks of reports here to finish,' he added for emphasis.
'So? What's one more day gonna matter?' He dragged Ianto up and out of his seat, pulling him tight against Jack's body. 'Please? How come everybody else gets to enjoy the world not ending except us?'
'Because they don't have to file the paperwork for it.'
'We can make it quick,' Jack promised.
'Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole point of spending quality time together?' It wasn't that he didn't want to. He just couldn't envisage ever getting on top of everything else if he was busy getting on top of Jack.
Jack tugged him away from the desk, leading him towards the door that led out of the hub and down to the lower levels. 'I never said it wouldn't be quality time Ianto. Just because it's a storage room, and just because I don't make you take off all your clothes doesn't mean you won't enjoy it. Doesn't it excite you just a little bit, knowing we're having naughty fun time just a short distance from everyone else?'
'As if they don't know what we're doing.' Then again, not having to take all his clothes off would make it more efficient. And maybe just a bit naughty.
