Summary: Ianto is suspicious of Jack's gift. A double drabble.
Ianto looked surprised when he opened the door early on Saturday morning to find Jack standing there. 'Did you need something, sir?' He might've still been in pajamas, but his face read all business. That was Ianto. All, business all of the time. Well, most of the time, at least.
'Only to drop this off,' Jack said, thrusting forward a potted fern. 'It's for you.'
'You bought me a plant?' There was a raising of eyebrows that Jack was so accustomed to it was scary that he could almost anticipate it.
Jack shrugged off Ianto's suspiciousness. 'It's a house-warming gift. You have a new house. I bought you a gift. Isn't that how it works?'
Ianto gave him another skeptical look. 'It's not the gift-giving part that bothers me. I just assumed that you would have gifted me something more… controversial.'
Jack kept his expression coy. 'I don't know what you're talking about, Ianto.'
'I'll bet you don't.'
'Don't worry. Christmas isn't that far away. There's still time for me to make it up to you.' And it would save him thinking about what to buy. Ianto had made it ridiculously easy for him, the dirty-minded fiend.
'You're all heart.'
