Summary: Everyone has a different opinion on Jack's situation. A double drabble.
'On a scale of one to ten, how much does it hurt?' Owen asked, making notes on his tablet as he studied the missing lower half of Jack's leg, now completely detached and sitting on the gurney next to his patient. It had been packed in ice until Jack complained about how cold it was, so now it was just sat there on a surgical cloth. Freaky didn't even begin to describe it.
Jack grimaced in obvious pain, gripping the edge of the gurney and pulling the tourniquet even tighter as his leg continued to drip blood into a tray on the floor. 'Does it matter?'
Owen looked at him in askance. 'Bits from the severed limb are disappearing and reattaching themselves to your leg, so yeah, apart from the fact that it should be completely medically impossible, I'd like to know.'
'Fine! It hurts like hell!' Jack yelled. 'You chop off a leg and see how much you like it!'
'Stop antagonising your patient,' Ianto said, remaining calm despite the gruesome scene. 'Just give him some painkillers for god's sake.'
'He said he'd be fine.'
Ianto rolled his eyes. 'I don't think that's what he meant when you asked.'
