Summary: Owen makes a near fatal assumption. A double drabble.
'Someone help!' came Owen's cry from the hothouse upstairs.
Tosh was up from her computer and up the spiral staircase in a flash, gun already clutched and ready to use. She burst through the door and raised her gun, spotting Owen in the grips of a huge vine, pinning his arms behind him and proceeding to hold him there.
'What happened?' Tosh asked. She could already hear Jack's heavy boots thundering up the stairs behind her, nearly tackling into her as he came to a stop, seeing what she was seeing.
'It grabbed me, obviously!' Owen replied. 'Stupid thing won't let go.'
'What did you do to it?' Jack asked.
'Nothing. I was just giving it a water.'
Jack lowered his gun and holstered it, moving across to help Tosh begin trying to unravel the plant's tendrils from their grip around Owen. 'Big mistake. This isn't that kind of plant.'
Owen grumbled as his left wrist was finally freed. 'Then what the hell kind of plant is it?'
'The kind that thinks you're trying to kill it by drowning it. They live in the desert for years without water. It was just defending itself.'
'You might have mentioned that earlier.'
