Summary: Ianto has a point to prove to Jack. A double drabble.
'I need some air.'
Ianto bristled as he watched Jack push up from the tiny table inside the pub, striding towards the doors out around the back. What right did he have to be mad at Ianto when he was the one who had blundered into the middle of Ianto's investigation?
Ianto leaned back frustratedly in the hard chair. Jack didn't think he could do this, and that was what annoyed him most. He assumed that Ianto was made of glass and that he was incapable of moving on from loss. He'd already lost so much, didn't Jack understand that? And yet he was still here, doing his job, because what the hell else did he have? He would prove to Jack that he could do this and that he'd do it without his help.
He glanced across at the bar and Mandy gave him a small smile before stepping out back as well. He gave her a little smile back but knew what would happen next.
He didn't have time for Jack's sulking and precious attitude. Ianto was allowed friends, and he had no idea what was really going on here. He might be broken, but he wasn't beaten.
