Summary: A night out drinking is just another night of the job for Jack. A double drabble.
'I'm back!' Jack called, tossing his coat over the railing.
'Did you have a nice night out drinking, sir?' Ianto replied, grabbing the coat and folding it neatly before hanging it on its proper hook.
'I did, but in about ten minutes you'll need to wipe PC Cooper's home computer. She's determined, I'll give her that.'
'Did we really have to retcon her? Could have just ignored her.'
Jack nodded. 'This way, nobody gets hurt.'
'Well, apart from those murder victims, I suppose.'
'Nothing to do with us,' Jack replied firmly. 'We've got our thing, the police have theirs. If they can't find whodunnit, not our problem. Just dealing with one nosy PC who thinks we should be helping.'
Ianto grimaced. 'She has a bit of a point.'
'Oh, don't you start. We have enough to do already. We've got that glove research to close out, nevermind worrying about who actually killed them.' Truthfully, the sooner they wrapped up matters with the glove, the better. It gave him the creeps.
'Pity,' Ianto said, frowning. 'She seemed quite tenacious.'
'I know.' He shook the thought away. 'Anyway, we're not recruiting. As much fun as it was, she's better off without us.'
