Summary: Owen has had enough of death and things are just going from bad to worse. A double drabble.
Owen huffed as the police officer began undoing the handcuffs as they stood in front of the cell door. He took one look at Jack, also being released from his own handcuffs and realised what was going to happen next.
'Oh, no. Don't even think about sticking us both in the same cell.'
'Government cost cutting,' the officer told him.
Owen struggled as the officer corralled him inside. 'I'll bloody kill him!' he vowed. He'd finish what he started back at the bar and sock Jack properly this time. A black eye and a few broken teeth would be worth the bruised knuckles that'd never heal.
'We'll just add it to your charges then,' the officer replied, shoving Jack in as well, before slamming the door.
Owen stomped around as Jack leaned casually by the door. 'This is really shit!' Owen fumed. 'Couldn't just leave me alone, could you? As if being dead wasn't bad enough.'
Jack cocked his head at Owen as he slid down onto the bench at the other end of the cell. 'If I could switch places with you, I would.'
'Bollocks you would!' Owen snapped. No one in their right mind would rather be dead.
