Summary: Jack can't help but wind Owen up for taking so long. A double drabble.
Jack's clapping as Owen walked through the door was immediately grating on his nerves. It was the kind of condescending, childish behaviour he no longer had to put up with in London. 'Yeah, piss off, Jack,' he said, brushing past his former boss and knowing that Jack was smirking at his back the entire time. The sooner he could brief the team in Cardiff, the better.
Jack leaned casually against his desk. 'It only took you, what, seven years?'
'Just because you jump everything and shag the living daylights out of it the second it walks through the door,' Owen replied.
'Hey, Ianto played hard to get. You don't know how tough that was. I'm not used to being turned down.'
Owen rolled his eyes and snorted. 'Yeah, I'll bet.'
'Seriously though,' Jack said, placing a firm hand on his shoulder, 'I'm happy for you. And Tosh. We've been trying to play matchmaker for years. Turns out you didn't need our help at all.'
'No, I just needed you to bugger off and let us do things in our own time.'
'Oh, is that why Tosh spent six years pining for your obtuse, sorry arse?'
'We're together now, alright? Geez!'
