Summary: Jack puts Ianto's grievances into perspective. A double drabble.
Jack ducked quickly into his office as he spied Ianto storming towards him. His instincts were tingling with warnings of imminent danger.
'Have you seen the state of this?' Ianto asked, sweeping in after him, the question seemingly rhetorical judging by his tone.
Jack took one look at the SUV’s side mirror, now detached and clutched in Ianto's hand. 'Well, it's in a lot worse shape than when I left it,' he replied. 'At least when I parked, it had still been attached to the car.'
'You duct taped a CB radio to it!'
Jack shrugged. 'They cut off all the power and cell networks in the city. How else were we supposed to stay in contact with the hub?'
'You couldn't have just left it inside the car? Unattached to anything?'
'Big deal. A little soap and water will fix that right up.'
'It shouldn't need fixing right up is the point.'
'We were ten minutes away from nuclear annihilation and you wanna argue about a little bit of stickiness? Look at this,' Jack said, picking up his blood soaked shirt. 'Brand new this morning. Stabbed through the chest by the way, and you think your day is bad!'
