Summary: Ianto isn't going to let Jack tell him what to do. A double drabble.
'I need some air,' Jack said. 'Stay here.' He pointed at the table for emphasis.
Ianto bristled at the instruction. He hated being told what to do, especially when it was Jack who thought he knew what was best. Truthfully, Jack had no idea. This wasn't his case and he wasn't in charge. Ianto hadn't wasted the last two months drinking and spilling his guts to some publican for nothing. She was at the heart of all the people going missing and tonight he'd been hell bent on finally proving it. Then Jack had blundered in and had the cheek to be annoyed at him for being here. More likely, he was annoyed at Ianto for having a friend outside of Torchwood. Jack always did have an ego problem.
'Bollocks to that.' Ianto pushed up from the table. He wasn't a dog and he didn't have to do what Jack told him all the time, even if this was a work thing and Jack was technically his boss. All Jack really wanted was to go out and get the measure of the woman Ianto had befriended. Then take her out. If he did that, they might never solve this case.
