Summary: Ianto has inadvertently upset their alien guests. A double drabble.
Ianto flushed with embarrassment as their alien guests continued to berate him. They'd long ago given up telling him their complaints in English and reverted back to their native tongue, which came across far more aggressive, underscoring the point.
'What the hell is going on here?' Jack demanded to know, the raised voices having alerted him to the trouble brewing.
'We were told you'd be accommodating! We didn't expect you to play games with us and to let us die!'
Jack looked at Ianto. 'What are they talking about?'
'Apparently when I stocked the kitchenette in their quarters, they discovered that they don't have sufficient opposable thumbs to twist open the bottles and jars to break the seal. They accused me of intentionally trying to starve them by giving them items they couldn't open.'
'It's not Ianto's fault,' Jack tried to explain. 'To be honest I have real trouble with getting those ring pull cans open myself. No fingernails, you see? Packaging on this planet is a nightmare.'
'I'll go through and open them all,' Ianto promised, grabbing the closest jam jar and twisting with all his might. He grimaced. 'Then again, perhaps we should just order out for pizza.'
