'I'm knackered,' Gwen said, walking directly towards the sofa and slumping down on it before anyone could find her anything else to do. After traipsing around in the cold all night long, she was ready for bed, and not the prospect of having to write up a report on their night's adventures.
Ianto didn't ask permission to share it with her, simply dropping down into the space right next to her, looking equally drained. 'You know, there are times when I wish there was a way we could just plug ourselves into the wall to recharge. Or a battery pack. Or just an extra cable in the SUV for when you just need the equivalent of a power nap.'
'That'd be brilliant,' Gwen agreed.
'Actually, there is a technology out there for that,' Jack replied, still looking fresh as a daisy and not the tiniest but weary. 'Although, it does require you to grow a kind of umbilical cord and then have the right kind of power adaptor. And once you've started charging up that way, regular sleep no longer works.'
Ianto grimaced. 'You know what? I take it back. I like being tired just fine.'
'Me too,' Gwen agreed.
