Summary: Gwen discovers that there's harder work than Torchwood. A double drabble.
'Phaw!' Rhys cried out as he leaned in to give his wife a kiss. He waved her away, keeping on waving his hand to waft away the smell.
'I know, I know! Shut your face,' Gwen grumbled, kicking off the painful looking stiletto heels. 'They made us wear it.'
Rhys scoffed a laugh. 'Bloody hell. No wonder G. R. Owen's is going down the gurgler. You'll be scaring shoppers off, smelling like that.'
Gwen snaffled a tissue, removing layers of mascara from her eyes. 'It's called First Embrace.'
'Should've been called Last Embrace.'
'I think I need a bath,' Gwen replied. 'I'm knackered. Who knew that pretending to be undercover for work would actually be harder work than normal.'
'Woe is the life of the nine to five retail girl,' Rhys teased.
'At least I'm home on time for dinner.'
'Aye, there's that. Just not smelling like that you're not. Put a man right off his food. Used to think the alien gunge was bad. Jack's not punishing you, is he?'
Gwen resisted the urge to say yes. Ianto was in the same boat as her, but at least he didn't have to paint his face like a cheap whore.
