Ianto felt ridiculous sitting across from the journalist. Being interviewed for a feature piece celebrating his status as one half of the universe's longest married couple was strange on so many levels.
Even more so because the journalist covering the story, if it could be called that, had insisted on interviewing them individually before going in for the main chat. He supposed this was meant to be the warts and all part where he'd give up the dirt on Jack, and Jack would do the same to him. In hindsight, he should have discussed with Jack beforehand what topics from their personal life were strictly off limits. He could only hope that Jack knew without being told.
The journalist leaned forward. 'So, what I really want to know - what our readers would love to know - what's the key to a long and happy marriage? You must be the experts on love.'
Ianto laughed at the question. Would that he knew. They could have made a fortune in couples therapy. 'Knowing that when you want to kill your husband you actually can and he'll be okay?' Ianto joked. He'd never actually done that. Wanted to plenty of times, but never had.
