drabble_zoneSummary: Ianto is less than impressed by Jack's retrieval. A double drabble.
‘Got a present for you!’ Jack called out as he swept across the hub towards his office, meeting Ianto there as he approached from the lab where he’d been tidying.
‘Is it an all expenses paid month in Tahiti?’ he asked.
Jack chuckled. ‘Not exactly. Not unless they come in bin bags.’
‘Pity.’
Jack emptied the contents onto his desk, letting the plant and a small amount of dirt he'd stolen from the owner's front yard out of the bag. ‘Sprouting out of the toaster when I arrived,' he said. 'Or maybe it was the toaster sprouting out of it. Hmmm, perhaps I should have taken the toaster as well. Never can be too careful.’
Ianto gave it a disparaging look, frown deepening the more he glared at it.
Jack could scarcely suppress his smirk. ‘You’ve really gone off plants, haven’t you?’
‘Since one tried to brainwash me into feeding it my blood, then yes,’ Ianto huffed, trying to look annoyed and indignant that Jack should even tease him about it.
‘You know if you'd like me to tell Owen he's got to look after it, you only have to say so.’
‘I shouldn't have to! Say so,’ he clarified.
