Summary: Ianto has been given an assignment that could prove challenging. A double drabble.
'And you say you don't know exactly where I'll find it?' Ianto asked, voicing some of the trepidation he felt at having been assigned to locate several old case files and artifacts for Jack after just a few days on the job. The archive had been mentioned in passing, but no one had prepared him for its true vastness.
Owen gave a shrug. 'To be honest, I avoid coming down here. Bloody rabbit warren piled high with crap no one knows about.' Judging by Owen's expression, even he was unsure why Jack had asked him of all people to show Ianto around.
'Hasn't anyone sorted it?' It seemed like a reasonable question to ask. At Torchwood One, everything was catalogued.
'If they couldn't figure it out a hundred years ago, I doubt we're going to solve the mystery now,' Owen replied. 'If the boss asks for a few files, just humour him. Probably a test anyway. Then again, Jack is a bit weird. Could be a hazing, or a genuine request.' He clapped Ianto on the shoulder. 'Good luck, mate.'
Ianto sighed, his torchlight barely cutting through the darkness as he pondered Owen's wisdom. 'Well, into the unknown we go…'
