torchwood100Summary: All Andy really wants is a little appreciation. A double drabble.
‘You took your time,’ Jack complained as he leaned against the cyclone fence gate, watching PC Andy loping wards him.
‘You know, I'm just a duty officer,’ Andy replied. ‘Getting the keys to the police custody evidence locker is not something you can just conjure up. I’m not even supposed to have these. Not without the requisite paperwork in place.’
‘Yet you did it anyway,’ Jack said. ‘Now stop complaining and open the door.’
Andy huffed and twisted the key in the padlocked chain. ‘I'm just saying a little bowing and scraping would be nice.’
Jack gave a devious grin. ‘I had no idea you were into D & S. You should join us one Saturday night. A little good cop, bad cop?’ He squeezed past Andy as he was sliding the chains off the gate door and began rifling through the evidence bags.
‘You are going to return it when you're done, right?’
Jack made a victorious little noise and plucked something from a snaplock bag before tapping his comms. ‘Gwen, I've got it. See you in five.’ Then he swept past Andy, and in a flash of coattails was gone.
‘You’re welcome!' Andy shouted back at the empty corridor.
