Owen's head popped up as the noise of someone entering the hub disrupted him. He spotted Ianto in his coat walking towards him, not pausing to take it off and hang it up as he usually would.
‘I thought you and Jack were headed out for a date night? Didn't you only leave here ten minutes ago?’
‘We did,’ Ianto replied. ‘Except it's more than a little bit nippy out there and some clever clogs decided to stick their tongue to the frozen water tower for a joke.’
‘Which part was meant to be the joke? Licking it or getting his tongue stuck?’
‘Makes you wonder, doesn't it?’ Ianto replied. ‘Thought I'd come down and request some medical assistance before he decides to just try ripping it off. I'll just go pop the kettle on first.’
Owen smirked. ‘Is that to loosen his tongue from the tower, or so we'll have nice hot coffee to drink as we stand there and mock his stupidity?’
‘I hadn't considered it, but that's not a bad idea.’
‘You get that going and I'll get the first aid kit.’
‘Don't forget to pack the jammie dodgers. Might be the closest I get to dinner.’
