Summary: Owen has come to confront his assailant. A double drabble.
Owen waltzed into the cells, knowing that the weevil had already been locked up down there by the others. Whilst they’d mucked him around by calling for an ambulance to take him away, they’d gotten on with the task of shutting down the illegal fight club. Not that he was unhappy about that. Some blokes needed to get a better hobby. He’d have suggested they get a woman, but no woman deserved a pillock like that who thought punching up an alien was good sport.
He wandered past the first cell, ignoring Janet who had been recaptured after her brief flight of freedom. To be fair, she looked glad to be back under lock and key where she got two square meals a day and no one wanting to kill her.
Owen instead moved to the cell at the far end, where a new occupant lay in wait. Owen peered through the perspex and gave the weevil a good long look. ‘Yeah, you remember me, don’t you? Tried to rip my spleen out. Bet you do that to all the blokes.’
The weevil growled but Owen glared back. ‘You don’t scare me, mate. Not even without this door between us.’
