Summary: Ianto knows Jack better than he knows himself. A double drabble.

Jack caught Ianto giving him a sideways glance as they sat side by side at their laptops in the crumbling Torchwood One warehouse they were now calling their base of operations. 'Like what you see?'

Ianto gave him a small smirk. 'Always.'

Jack smiled back. 'Thanks, by the way. For the clothes.' Not that he didn't also owe Ianto thanks for everything else as well, getting him out of that awful concrete filled prison cell. Only Ianto could manage to find him a replica nineteen forties military greatcoat to replace the one he'd lost in the explosion.

'Any time. I know you don't feel secure without your coat. It's who you are.'

Ianto had struck the nail on the head, much as Jack was loathe to admit it. He didn't like anyone thinking he was vulnerable or had weak spots. He hadn't just worn the same thing for a century out of laziness. He simply didn't feel himself without it. He was their captain, but a captain needed a uniform, and his coat was everything that made him who he was. Right now, the world needed Captain Jack Harkness more than ever and he couldn't be that person without it.

True. Captain Jack without the coat just isn't right.
