Summary: Jack isn't sure about Ianto's latest idea. A double drabble.
Jack frowned as he squinted into the night sky, trying to pick out a single dot amongst an otherwise clueless night filled with stars.
‘Stop worrying, sir,’ Ianto told him, uncharacteristically issuing an order to his captain.
‘We just let loose a prehistoric flying dinosaur on Cardiff. I think I'm entitled to worry a little bit,’ he replied, still holding his reservations about this idea. It had been a hell of a job to capture Myfanwy in the first place, and though she was now house trained to some extent, letting her out of the hub was still a risk. Ianto argued that she needed to spread her wings and Owen merely complained that she was driving him nuts cooped up in the hub.
‘She’ll come back,’ Ianto assured him, even as he still frowned at the night sky, unable to spot her anymore, having flown so far she was now totally out of sight.
‘If she doesn’t…’ Jack warned.
‘Yes, yes, I know. It’ll be my job to get her back,’ he replied, sounding a little too cocky for Jack’s liking.
‘I’m just saying, she’s no pet.’
Ianto smirked. ‘Says you who snuck her a chocolate bar this morning.’
