Summary: Jack has a job for their general support officer. A double drabble.
‘Ianto we've got a bunch of body bits here. Think you can swing by and pick them up for us to take back to the hub for analysis?;
There was a pained sigh on the other end of the line. ‘Do I have to?’
‘What do you mean "do you have to?" Jack said, trying to keep the annoyance out of his voice. It wasn't like Ianto to renege on an order.
‘It's just… well, there's four of you currently at the scene. That's a collective eight arms and eight legs perfectly capable of picking them up and bagging them whilst you're there.’
‘We're busy,’ Jack replied. ‘Still gotta find the thing that did this and bring it back. Or maybe kill it. Who knows. Until we do find it we don't know what we're dealing with. Some analysis of what it left behind might narrow it down for us.’
Ianto sighed again. ‘Okay, I'll be there in ten. Any chance you could at least leave them in a pile for me? Not picking them up, as you say. Maybe just, I don't know, kicking them into one spot? Easier to find.’
Jack clenched his jaw. ‘Don't push your luck.’
