torchwood100Summary: John wishes Jack would hurry up. A double drabble.
The sound of John sighing loudly for the hundredth time was really beginning to grate on Jack’s nerves. If he wasn’t careful, it was going to reach the point where he became distracted by it and made a mistake.
John heaved a yawn and Jack paused only because he needed to wipe the sweat from his brow before it rolled down into his eyes and began to sting. ‘Can you not do that?’ he begged.
‘Do what?’ John replied, using that coy tone of voice he always did when he knew exactly what he was doing. ‘Stand around here being amazingly sexy and yet totally ignored? A man could take offence at that.’
‘I’m trying to concentrate.’
‘Well, then it's totally understandable that you’d find me very distracting. How much longer is this going to take?’
Jack’s jaw clenched as he rolled out from under the control panel of the warship. ‘It’s gonna take time.’
‘Well, that sounds excruciatingly tedious. Wish you’d mentioned that before we stole it.’
‘Everything has to be done in a certain order, okay?’
‘Or else?’
‘How does exploding sound to you?’
‘Very well. Carry on then. I’ll just go sort myself out whilst I'm waiting.’
