Summary: Jack has problems following Ianto's system. A double drabble.
‘I can’t find it!’ Jack yelled out down the vast row of shelving, knowing that his voice would carry all the way back to Ianto’s tiny little office at the other end.
‘It’s there!’ Ianto yelled back. ‘You’re not looking hard enough.’
Jack huffed and walked back to Ianto’s office. He could have kept on yelling but when he had a complaint he preferred to deliver it face to face. ‘I looked.’
Ianto didn’t even look up from his computer, or his fingers cease their typing. ‘Then if you’d followed my instructions you would have found it. All the crates down there are in perfect order.’
Jack scoffed. ‘There's no order around here. It's chaos.’ Ianto was meant to be making their archives more useful, getting it all organised, but he wasn’t making much headway as far as Jack was concerned. That he couldn’t find this one basic thing was frustrating, especially since he’d never had any trouble finding it before Ianto had taken over managing the archives.
‘It's not chaos.’
‘Looks like chaos to me.’
‘That's because you wouldn't know what order was if you fell over it.’ He marched off and came back shortly, item in hand. ‘See?’
