Was thinking about Jack today. Shouldn’t do that, I know. Only makes realising he’s not here anymore all that much harder. Just started thinking again about that moment when Owen shot him right there in cold blood. And then he came back. Just gasped and flailed and then he was alive again. Something to do with this Doctor of his that he’s been waiting for. Perhaps now I understand what it was he was waiting for.
I used to find all those old files in the archives, with his handwriting, even if it wasn’t specifically stated that he filed the report. Just used to think there was something alien that had affected him that made him not age. I didn’t expect it to be like this - dying and coming back over and over again. How many times? Must be hundreds. It must be a curse to live like that, suffering over and over again. No wonder he never talked about it. No wonder he was always so mad when anyone tampered with technology from the secure archives.
I wish he’d told me. Not sure I would have known what to say. I hope he finds his cure.
