Summary: Not everyone shares Jack's enthusiasm about the change of season.


Jack hopped out of the SUV and sucked in a huge lungful of air. Ah, how fresh is that air? he asked of no one in particular, exhaling and drawing in another deep breath. You can taste how fresh it is. Don't you just love spring? All the trees are sprouting green shoots again, the flowers are coming into bloom and all the local animals are having babies. Just glorious.

Owen grunted and snapped open a wide umbrella, scowling at the puddle his sneakers had landed in. 'And still pissing down with rain just like in winter. Bloody love spring.'
