Summary: Ianto doesn't like Jack's kind of surprises. A double drabble.


‘Have you got your eyes closed?’ Jack asked, making Ianto wait on the other side of the door, making sure he didn’t break the rules. As an added precaution, Ianto found that Jack had his boot wedged up against it, preventing him from moving it until Jack was good and ready.

‘Why are we doing this?’ Ianto huffed. He liked games but there was a level of patience required when it seemed like they weren’t in fact playing a game.

‘I need you to trust me on this,’ came the reply. ‘Close your eyes.’

Ianto heaved another loud sigh, reluctantly complying. ‘I am, but I don't see why. You know I hate surprises, right?’

There was a pause. ‘Yeah, I know. That’s kinda why I want to prepare you for this one. It’s not bad, per se.’

‘Oh, god,’ Ianto groaned.

‘Eyes closed?’ Jack asked again.

‘Yes!’

He heard the door creak and it was all he could do not to open his eyes straight away. ‘I made a promise to someone a long time ago and today they came calling in the favour. You just have to know that I am totally fine.’

Ianto’s eyes flew open. ‘Pregnant again?’
